efek rumah kaca

So last Sunday, Umar woke up from his sleep and asked us to take him to ‘mandi sungai’.  It just popped out from his mouth and I’m sure ‘somebody’ has promised him to take him to the river somehow somewhen.  So off we went armored with nasi and ayam goreng sambal to our little getaway in Sungai Congkak, in Hulu Langat.  Umar had been asking “are we there yet?” every 15 kilometres of the journey repeatedly.

But don’t be fooled with the summery hot scorching weather last Sunday.  When I was about to senduk the nasik into the pinggan, the rain started to pour heavily without warning.  So we ended up having a little picnic in a car with oily stain all over the interior of the car as the boys having a goreng cempedak inside, waiting for the rain to go away.  I suggested my husband to take Umar for a quick skinny dipping (yes.. literally..for Umar la…) and then we can head home and have a peaceful Sunday evening at home.  Next thing I know, he was screaming like mad when my hubby soaked him in the river, begging to take him out of the water.  So much for the 2 year old plus toddler’s enthusiasm of mandi sungai after all.

So once again don’t be fooled with your kid’s purak-purak excitement because they just want to get your lazy bum outta the house on lazy Sunday afternoon.

And finally we ended up makan nasi di rumah juga adanya…(eh ayat ni macam penah dengar la…)
